Sometimes tasks can be better completed with a GUI and other times better with on the command line. Sometimes the solution is better with a GUI but is locked behind a paid firewall. Other times the free version of a GUI is so surrounded by controversy, malware, or other undesirable effects such as advertisements, that they are made unusable. A lot of the times these free versions are using a prebuilt tool that has none of the undesirables but people do not use it as it only useable on the command line. For this reason I believe it is in some cases better to use the command line version and that learning the syntax is quite often both interesting and more rewarding than just using a free web tool that is most likely harvesting your data and even possibly injecting unwanted code or malware into your system. However, as the tools require learning the syntax, if the tool isn't used often then you can very quickly forget the syntax. For this reason I have created this repository of commands so that I can refer back to them whenever I need.
